ME&A to Recruit Interns at American University’s Spring 2023 Job and Internship Fair
ME&A will recruit interns at American University’s Spring 2023 Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m. ME&A has run an internship program for several decades and is proud our interns have gone on to senior leadership at ME&A, USAID, Feed the Future, and other agencies. Potential interns can apply here.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to meet wonderful young professionals and discuss ME&A’s internship program,” said ME&A Director of Human Resources Lizette Laserna Salvador. “ME&A provides interns the tools to help them grow in their chosen field by exposing them to different areas of expertise that ME&A has. This on-the-job experience helps them develop an expertise to be used as a springboard for a rewarding career.”
Fall 2021 Intern Dulce Alanna Lejarde, hired as a full-time human resources and administrative assistant, will be at the event to discuss ME&A’s internship program with potential applicants along with Ms. Salvador; Vice President for Marketing and Business Development Loren L. Schulze, Ph.D; and Geographic Information Systems Specialist Thomas G. England. Dr. Schulze started his career in international development in the Peace Corps and enjoys speaking with more recent alum on their time in the Peace Corps and how best to leverage it moving forward.

- Summer 2022 Intern Mark Ferrer hired as a full-time records and database assistant.
- Fall 2021 Intern Alexander Keninitz hired as a full-time project coordinator. Mr. Keninitz is featured in the video above along with Ms. Lejarde. The two coordinated to produce the video.
- Summer 2021 Intern Ananya Amirthalingam, a rising junior at Georgetown University.
- Summer 2019 Interns Mohammed Diallo and Bethany Reitsma. Mr. Diallo, a rising senior at Towson University, was hired after graduation as a full-time junior accountant. Ms. Reitsma was a rising senior at Washington and Lee University.
- Summer 2018 Interns Leah England and Beza Fekadu. Ms. England was an incoming junior at West Virginia University while Ms. Fekadu was an incoming senior at Sherwood High School in Olney-Sandy Spring, Maryland.
