ME&A Joins Tetra Tech in Colombia Land and Rural Development Program
ME&A is working with Tetra Tech, under USAID’s Colombia Land and Rural Development Program to help resolve land issues in Colombia as the South American nation recovers from decades of civil strife. This project is assisting in the management of programs to return land to victims of conflict, extend land titling in prioritized rural areas, and promote sustainable rural development to enable beneficiaries of land interventions to retain and make productive and efficient use of their land.
The ME&A team, led by urban planner and ME&A Vice President, Carlos Beale, is developing a Unified Land Administration System to support the process of land restitution for citizens displaced by long term armed conflict. The five-year USAID funded program assists the government of Colombia in its efforts toward a more stable and peaceful society.
USAID awarded Tetra Tech and its subcontractor, ME&A, this task order contract under the Strengthening Tenure and Resource Rights (STARR) IQC.
