Teresita Perez

President and Chief Executive Officer

Teresita Perez has more than 35 years of experience in international development, providing worldwide technical assistance and support to USAID and other international agencies and organizations. Ms. Perez has held a variety of senior-level positions throughout her career and is an expert in international development, management, government contracting, institutional capacity building, and support toward sustainable development. Ms. Perez’s international development management experience includes overseeing U.S. government-funded programs in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. She is a co-founder of ME&A and has served as Chief Operating Officer and in other executive capacities providing leadership in the development and implementation of the company’s international programs and business development strategies.

Previous to her work with ME&A, Ms. Perez served as Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Presidential and National Commissions Office; Senior Policy Analyst at the U.S. Conference of Mayors; as an international development consultant for USAID-funded projects; co-author of a study of Federal support for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and evaluator of education and mental health programs and Psychologist for the Rochester, N.Y., school system. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. Ms. Perez is fluent in English and Spanish.
