End-of-Project Evaluation of the USAID/Zimbabwe Family AIDS Initiative (FAI) Project

End-of-Project Evaluation of the USAID/Zimbabwe Family AIDS Initiative (FAI) Project

ME&A completed this end-of-project evaluation of the USAID/Zimbabwe Family AIDS Initiative (FAI) Project.

Over the course of three weeks, the ME&A team traveled extensively throughout Zimbabwe, meeting with principal stakeholders and visiting health facilities that provide Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT). The methodology for this evaluation was primarily qualitative.

The evaluation team employed a combination of structured and open-ended interviews to facilitate its assessment. It also held focus group discussions and reviewed documents relevant to the assessment. The FAI initiative was designed to create and maintain a national program for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
